Vinyl Signs: Practical Even In The Technological Age
Vinyl signage is one of the most popular methods of displaying information for business as well as personal messages. It is very often used by small enterprises such as churches or small businesses to get information out about upcoming events such as a church bake sale or specials being offered to customers. Vinyl signs from businesses like Snyder Signs Inc including banners and decals are used because they are noticeable, long-lasting, durable and, best of all, they tend to be cheap.
However, with the advent of the GPS (global positioning system) and telephone applications that can tell the location of any business as well as advertise special events, are we seeing the end of the era for physical signage? Here are a few reasons why signage and vinyl signage may be here to stay.
Take it or leave it
Even with the popularity of cell phones and the huge success that cell phone providers enjoy, not all Americans are using these technologies. In, fact there is 10 percent of American adults who do not own a cell phone at all. This means that there are millions of Americans who would still need to know about the sale your business is having and they would need some other means than through Internet ads or cell phone apps.
Those same Americans might also need directions the old fashioned way - through road signs, since they are less likely to own a vehicle that carries a GPS system. It is estimated that only about 55 percent of Americans own any form of GPS whether in a car or through other portable devices.
In and out of here
The visitor experience in a country can be colored by how welcoming that country is. One of the ways to determine the welcoming environment is by how well a visitor can navigate a new place on their own. The best way to do this while your technology acclimatizes is by using signs. America gets about 70 million visitors per year and this number is expected to climb. To benefit from the purchasing power of these visitors, it will probably always still be wise to use your vinyl signs for advertising.
When you consider that finding your business will cost the customer (especially if they are roaming), then it would not be best to completely rely on the Internet for advertising. Vinyl signs, on the other hand, barely cost you, especially if you do them yourself. This provides a win-win situation for all involved and probably will continue to do so...at least for the foreseeable future.
